Chilling Murder Case in Meerut: Woman and Lover Accused of Killing Husband

In a shocking murder case from Meerut, Muskan Rastogi and her lover are accused of killing her husband, Saurabh Rajput. After allegedly drugging him and stabbing him to death, they dismembered his body and concealed it in cement within a drum. Following the murder, the duo vacationed together. Their parents expressed disbelief and called for severe punishment, while ongoing investigations are examining the drug-related aspects of the case.

In the recent murder case in Meerut, it has emerged that Muskan Rastogi and her lover, Sahil Shukla, allegedly orchestrated the gruesome killing of her husband, Saurabh Rajput, a merchant navy officer. The police disclosed that Saurabh was dismembered and encased in cement inside a drum following his return from London on March 4, meant to celebrate his wife’s birthday and their daughter’s sixth birthday.

The crime unfolded with Muskan reportedly drugging Saurabh’s food to incapacitate him before she and Sahil fatally stabbed him. Notably, this was not the first attempt; a previous effort was made on February 25, Muskan’s birthday, but Saurabh remained conscious, leading to the fatal second attempt. The conspirators initially planned to dispose of the body in a secluded area but ultimately chose to conceal it in a large blue drum filled with cement and sand, as stated by police officials.

Following the murder, Muskan and Sahil embarked on a vacation to Himachal Pradesh, visiting locations such as Manali, Kasol, and Shimla while leaving Saurabh’s dismembered remains behind. Shockingly, Muskan’s parents expressed disbelief regarding their daughter’s involvement in the murder, with her father condemning her actions and calling for the death penalty for both her and Sahil. He stated that Saurabh had sacrificed everything for his family, only to be betrayed by his wife.

The police have apprehended both Muskan and Sahil, who were presented before the media. A court has since placed them in 14-day judicial custody amidst chaotic scenes in the courthouse, where individuals attempted to confront them. Additionally, investigations are ongoing into claims that Sahil introduced Muskan to drugs, which may have influenced her actions during this tragic incident.

This disturbing case highlights not only the depths of betrayal within personal relationships but also raises important questions about the influence of drugs on criminal behavior. The actions of Muskan Rastogi and Sahil Shukla, including the premeditated nature of the crime and subsequent attempts to evade justice by vacationing after the murder, underscore the chilling reality of domestic violence. As the investigation continues, the legal proceedings will likely reflect the severity of their actions and societal expectations regarding accountability.
