Tragic Deaths in Hyderabad Family Linked to Financial Struggles and Mental Health Challenges

A family of four was discovered dead in Hyderabad, with police suspecting a suicide pact due to financial stress. The deceased, including two children, left a note expressing despair over joblessness and health issues. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding their deaths is ongoing.

On the evening of March 11, 2025, Hyderabad police discovered the bodies of a family of four in their residence located in Habsiguda. The individuals identified are Kotha Chandrasekhar Reddy, aged 44, his wife Kavitha, aged 35, and their children—Shritha Reddy, aged 13, and Vishanth Reddy, aged 10. Authorities suspect a suicide pact, as evidence suggests the family took their own lives.

Kotha Chandrasekhar Reddy, previously employed as a junior lecturer in a private college, had been without work since 2023. A police representative confirmed the existence of a suicide note found at the crime scene, indicating that prolonged unemployment and related health issues contributed to their financial troubles.

The note, written in Telugu, expressed the family’s feeling of having no alternatives left, citing struggles with their careers and health concerns as reasons for their tragic decision. It further emphasized that no one should be held accountable for their deaths.

According to Kotha Upender Reddy, the elder brother of Chandrasekhar Reddy, the family had been under significant financial strain, and he and his siblings had been supporting them as much as possible. However, on the evening of the incident, relatives were unable to reach the family by phone, leading them to visit the residence. Accessing the home through a broken door, they discovered the four deceased.

Osmania University police have registered the case as suspicious and initiated an investigation. The bodies have been sent to Gandhi Hospital for postmortem analysis to further ascertain the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate event.

The tragic discovery of a family found dead in Hyderabad highlights the severe consequences of financial instability and mental distress. The investigation continues as authorities seek to understand the full context of this heartbreaking situation, while the brother’s comments illustrate the profound impact of economic challenges on familial well-being. Community and familial support play crucial roles in preventing such despair.
