Saurabh’s body was severed into pieces and concealed in cement. The investigation exposes a backdrop of addiction and personal conflict, culminating in this gruesome crime.
Recent revelations in the Saurabh Rajput murder case in Meerut uncover a disturbing premeditation involving Saurabh’s wife, Muskaan Rastogi. Eight days prior to the murder, she purchased two knives for ₹800 and practiced stabbing techniques. Furthermore, Muskaan acquired a cut-throat razor, which was ultimately employed to decapitate Saurabh’s body. This heinous act involved both her and her accomplice, Sahil Shukla, who have since been apprehended by the authorities.
On the night of March 3, the couple allegedly murdered Saurabh at home, dismembering his body into 15 sections, which were then placed in a plastic drum and concealed under cement. Recovery of the body parts occurred two weeks later after Muskaan confessed to her parents, leading them to report the incident to the police, following the family’s inability to contact Saurabh.
The investigation has unveiled a narrative steeped in addiction, betrayal, and violence. Muskaan and Sahil had been using drugs and feared Saurabh would intervene. Moreover, Saurabh was fully aware of their affair and contemplated divorce, though he eventually remained married for their daughter’s wellbeing. During his visit to Meerut for their daughter’s birthday, Saurabh aimed to renew his London visa and was planning to bring both wife and child to London, a proposal that Muskaan vehemently opposed.
On the evening of the crime, Muskaan allegedly administered sleeping pills to Saurabh before attacking him. She stabbed him thrice and then utilized the razor to slit his throat. The responsibility of decapitating the body was entrusted to Sahil. Together, they proceeded to sever Saurabh into pieces for disposal. Their initial strategy involved layering mud over the body parts and planting a sapling; however, upon realization of the odor emanating from the remains, they opted for wet cement to mask the stench.
Despite their meticulous planning, they failed to consider the drum’s substantial weight, rendering it impossible for laborers to lift when they sought to dispose of it. This oversight eventually led Muskaan to panic and divulge the details of the crime to her parents.
The case of Saurabh Rajput’s murder underscores a narrative of premeditated violence driven by personal conflicts and substance abuse. Muskaan Rastogi’s chilling preparations, alongside her accomplice Sahil Shukla, resulted inexplicably in a ruthless crime. The insights from this investigation reveal profound implications surrounding familial dynamics and the tragic consequences of betrayal. Ultimately, it highlights the importance of addressing underlying issues in relationships to prevent such tragic outcomes.
