Osaka Man Arrested on Suspicion of Niece’s Murder; Body Found in Concrete

A man, Noriyuki Iimori, was arrested for the murder of his 6- or 7-year-old niece in Osaka Prefecture. The girl’s body was found encased in concrete within a metal case. Police suspect the killing occurred between 2006 and 2007, following her mother’s abandonment of the child. An autopsy revealed lethal abdominal injuries.

On March 21, 2025, a 41-year-old man, Noriyuki Iimori, was arrested in Osaka Prefecture on suspicion of murdering his niece. Authorities discovered a metal case containing the body of the girl, aged 6 or 7 at the time of death, encased in concrete and abandoned in Yao.

Iimori was initially apprehended on charges of improper disposal of the body. Investigations suggest the niece was murdered by Iimori between late 2006 and 2007 after her mother, Iimori’s sister, left her in his care. An autopsy indicated that the child suffered severe abdominal trauma which resulted in fatal internal bleeding.
