The Haryana police have made a significant revelation regarding the murder of Congress worker Himani Narwal, stating that the accused, identified as Sachin, employed a mobile charger cable to commit the crime. The police noted that Sachin, a married individual, operates a mobile shop in Jhajjar district, which is relevant to the investigation due to their prior acquaintance via social media.
On February 27, Sachin reportedly visited Narwal’s residence in Vijay Nagar, Rohtak, where a dispute ensued between them, leading to her tragic death. Following the incident, he allegedly looted her personal belongings, including jewelry, a mobile phone, and a laptop, before concealing her body in a suitcase, which he disposed of in the bushes near Sampla bus stand.
Assistant Director General of Police (ADGP) Krishan Kumar Rao stated, “After this, he took her jewellery, phone, and laptop to his shop in Jhajjar.” This investigation will now focus on the motives for the conflict and a potential financial transaction between the two individuals.
In a further development, police sources reported the presence of bite marks and scratches on the accused’s hands, which he claims resulted from Narwal defending herself during the altercation. Jatin, Narwal’s brother, expressed his wish for the death penalty for the accused, emphasizing the desire for justice amidst ongoing speculations.
He remarked, “A lot of rumours are being spread in the media. I request the media to not spread misinformation. We will get justice. We still don’t know who the accused is; the police have not given us any information.”
The case of Himani Narwal’s murder presents a troubling narrative of violence and betrayal. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities examining both the circumstances surrounding her death and the relationship between her and the suspect. As her family seeks justice, it is imperative that accurate information is disseminated to prevent misinformation.
