In a disturbing incident, a vlogger named Junaid was arrested in Bengaluru on Saturday for allegedly raping a young woman he had deceived via social media with false promises of marriage. The authorities reported that Junaid is a resident of Vazhikadavu and has been accused of sexually exploiting the victim for nearly two years at various hotels in Malappuram and surrounding regions. It is also alleged that he took explicit photographs of her, which he later used to threaten her.
Following a complaint lodged by the victim, the Malappuram police filed a case against Junaid and initiated efforts to locate him. He was reportedly attempting to leave the country to avoid apprehension. A police team led by Inspector P Vishnu successfully arrested Junaid near Bengaluru Airport in the early hours of Saturday. Subsequently, he was presented in front of a local court after all necessary legal procedures were accomplished.
